But Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios will be dismantling the iconic Sorcerer’s Hat in early 2015. And three days later members of our family are both mourning and celebrating the loss. Magic Bands Now Available For Purchase By Non-Disney Resort Guests

Beginning March 31, 2014, Magic Bands will be available for purchase by Disney guests who are not staying on Disney property. The bands will cost $12.95 and will allow you to make your FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance of your trip. Currently, Disney resort guests are allowed FastPass+ planning access 60 days ahead of their trip. Colors available are pink, green, red, blue, yellow, gray and orange. Decorating with pins or your own creative spin is optional! The advantages to Magic Bands are huge. No more toting a card in a lanyard around your next.
