Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Bucket List

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a must-do for any Disney fan. Believe it or not, I had to be convinced. You see, Christmas is my favorite holiday – and favorite time to visit. So I always pushed for November-December visits. But Halloween is one of my husband’s favorite holidays. And when he recommended we visit in October one year, how could I say no? Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a fun way to experience Magic Kingdom. The decorations. The special shows. The treats. But it’s only offered for a short time each year and you don’t Continue reading Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Bucket List

9/11 May We Never Forget

I follow a number of Disney sites, pages, fans. Reading their accounts this morning of what 9/11 was like at Walt Disney World and Disneyland is sobering. When they closed the parks, with no explanation to the guests other than “circumstances beyond our control,” guests were ushered out of the parks. Guests were confused and angry. But as news of what was going on beyond Disney’s magical bubble, panic and fear set it. And in true Disney fashion they took care of, entertained and calmed all of the guests now stranded in their resorts. I am reminded this day of Continue reading 9/11 May We Never Forget

The theme this week is November Calendar and this is a date we never forget in our house. My middle son joined our family through adoption. We celebrate his “Gotcha Day” on November 18th, the day we “got” him. No presents. No huge fanfare. We just let him choose a family activity to celebrate. Surprise! He choose going to Disney World and this Disney nut mom couldn’t refuse. On November 18th, he proudly wore his “I’m Celebrating” button. In Continue reading Mark Your Calendars For Mickey’s Birthday

Gone Fishin’… At Disney World!

Fishin' At Disney World

One of the best perks of our Disney Visa card are the points we build up to spend during our next visit. We redeem them before our trip and use them on a splurge. Our last splurge was a private fishing excursion on Crescent Lake. My boys had a blast. My husband’s fish tales were scaled down to a believable account due to the many witnesses. And I was able to enjoy a leisurely cruise around my favorite EPCOT resort area. Disney supplies everything you need for their catch and release bass fishing excursions: fishing equipment, rod, reel, nets, bait and Continue reading Gone Fishin’… At Disney World!
