When the kids were little we would often start our Disney countdown at 100 days.
100
To them, 100 sounded like a lot. And when we would get down to the single digits, they would muse, “Remember when it was all the way at 100?”
After letting this blog sit quietly for a little while, I decided to revive it. So, in August, I gave myself a challenge of 100 posts in 100 days. I counted back 100 days from my birthday and began posting.
At first, it was a struggle. But then I would find days when I would churn out 2-3 posts at a time. I’d create a little stockpile and schedule them for a later date. Only once did I not post on a particular day, but only because I entered the wrong date when I scheduled it.
And here we are…
100 days later.
I learned…
- I still have a lot to say about my favorite place in the world.
- that inspiration for a post sometimes just takes a question from a friend or an old picture I’ve come across or a nudge from a Disney podcast or blog post.
- blogging about Disney helps bridge the time between trips.
- writing and researching helps me to prep for a new trip.
- it encourages me to test new strategies.
- at times it seems I’m writing in a vacuum. But…
- that one comment or email from a reader is a great motivator and I so appreciate you reaching out. No vacuum on those days, for sure!
But 100 days also means…
It’s my birthday!
So, happy birthday to me. Thank you to all of you who are reading. Thank you to those who have referred others here, either through Pinterest or Facebook. Thank you, first-time visitors. And those who keep coming back. Thank you subscribers and new friends.
Stay tuned for more tips, tricks, and information about Disney. Because I’ve also learned that I just can’t stop thinking and sharing and writing about my favorite place. My grandparents got me hooked on Walt Disney World when they took me the first year it opened. And from that very first trip when I was a little girl I became a certifiable Disney addict.
I come from a long line of planners. It’s in my blood. And Mickey Mouse continues to be my inspiration and muse.
So, Mouseterplanner is here to stay.
And I look forward to helping you plan YOUR next Disney vacation!
