To stay on property or not to stay on property? That is the question.
But for the die-hard Disney fan, it isn’t even a question. You stay on-property.
Obviously.
It’s all a part of the experience.
For others, it can be a conundrum. There are so many options in the area: hotels, resorts, condos, and homes for rent.
But to truly experience Walt Disney World and to truly get your money’s worth, for this Disney fan, staying on-property is the only way to go.
#10 Let’s Talk Transportation
Each morning you walk out your door, hop on a boat, a monorail or a bus. They drop you off in front of the park gates and you’re off to enjoy the parks. It’s that easy. No remembering where you parked. No paying for parking. No long hikes to the gate or to the extra transportation to get you where you need to go.
#9 And What About TheTheming?
Whether your child is a budding princess, basketball player, mermaid or pirate or musician, there is a resort to encourage the wildest of imaginations. Do you want to escape to the New England Shore, the Caribbean or the African Savanna? Disney resorts each have their own unique personality that comes alive the minute you walk through the lobby doors to the moment you lay your head on your pillow.
#8 Extra Magic Hours Are For Resort Guests Only
Resort guests are privy to an extra hour in the morning before the “outside” guests arrive or extra hours in the evening when everyone else has to go home. Just check the schedule to see which parks are offering that feature each day.
#7 The Convenience Of Magic Bands
Every resort guest is given a Magic Band that allows you access to your room. It holds the tickets for the parks. Allows for restaurant and souvenir charges. So much less to carry. So much less to remember when walking out the door. The convenience is game-changing!
#6 And Speaking Of Convenience
Families with toddlers will appreciate the close proximity to the parks. Hopping back to the resort for a nap is a piece of cake. Larger groups will appreciate the ease of being able to split up and meet back without worrying about who needs the car, losing each other on the highway as you follow each other or the time it will take through traffic. Resorts and parks are close and transportation is even closer.
#5 Room Charges and Resort Delivery
Anything you purchase at the resorts, Downtown Disney or at any of the theme parks can be charged to your Magic Band (room key equivalent). Don’t want to lug around your souvenir purchases? Have them delivered to your resort with their complimentary delivery service.
#4 Do You Need Childcare?
Many resorts have child activity centers or personal babysitting services so Mom and Dad can have a bite to eat on their own. Kids get to play in a safe and magical environment. Parents get to have some much needed alone time. It’s a win-win.
#3 Disney Dining Plan Can Save You Money
For many families, the ability to add dining to your stay takes all the hassle out of budgeting while you’re there. With the dining plan, you’ve pre-paid your entire trip. Room, tickets, and meals are taken care of before you even check-in. My husband loves this feature as he feels as if he is truly on vacation the minute he checks in. This feature is only available to Disney resort guests.
#2 The Ease Of Magical Express
Or, in layman’s terms: free transportation from the airport to your resort. Absolutely free.
#1 And Speaking Of Magic…
You will be immersed in the magic 24 hours a day, each day of your stay. Walt Disney World has fantastic customer service. The level is unsurpassed. You will feel pampered and welcome throughout your visit.
Never having to leave the magic is the best reason of all.
