EPCOT Resorts – Pick Your Favorite!

Everyone has their favorite resort. And the reasons are varied and unique.

The EPCOT resorts are a favorite, especially among older families. Within walking distance of EPCOT. Fabulous boardwalk nightlife. Easy access to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. What’s not to love?

Here is a breakdown of each resort so you can pick the best resort for your next visit.

Beach Club Resort

This resort is our personal favorite. We love to dine at EPCOT’s World Showcase. Beach Club is the closest resort to EPCOT. It’s an easy stroll, there and back, perfect for burning off the dessert you splurged on. My husband loves how it reminds him of growing up in New England. The kids love the 3-acre Stormalong Bay pool, complete with “sandy” bottom, zero entry points, shipwreck water slide, and lazy river. Beaches & Cream is our favorite ice cream stop – be sure and order The Kitchen Sink!

Boardwalk Resort

Another easy walk to EPCOT and Disney Hollywood Studios (depending on room location), this resort sits on the Boardwalk between the two parks. This seaside-like resort has easy access to restaurants and carnival games located on the boardwalk along Crescent Lake. If you enjoy the nightlife, and love to boogie, this resort has it all: cafes, fine dining, dance hall, sports bars, carnival games, street performers and even Surrey bike rentals. Note: all of these amenities are also available to the other EPCOT resort guests – just a short walk away.

Swan & Dolphin

Technically not a Disney resort (explained here), the Swan and Dolphin resort is two resorts in one, managed by the Marriot brand. It tends to be a little cheaper than the other EPCOT deluxe resorts and benefits from some of the same Disney amenities, namely transportation, extra magic hours and accessibility to Walt Disney World resorts. Discounts are also more readily available. Ask about educator discounts if they apply for you!

Yacht Club Resort

Similar to the New England feel of Beach Club, Yacht Club is a little more grand, a little quieter but certainly just as convenient as the other EPCOT resorts. It shares full access to Stormalong Bay water park with Beach Club. Yachtman’s Steakhouse is one of our favorite places to get a big, juicy steak.
