If you have kids or were a kid during the nineties and early 2000s then you probably know a Power Rangers fan or are one yourself. I have 2 Power Rangers fans, so it’s only fitting that I wish you all a Happy National Power Rangers Day!
It’s morphin’ time!
The television series began in 1993 and quickly grew into one of the most successful franchises of all time. Disney acquired the rights in 2001 as part of a package deal. Power Rangers had a tumultuous start. Disney wanted to cancel the series. But its producers, Ann Austen and Douglas Sloan, convinced Disney to hold onto the series.

They loved Power Rangers – watching and playing along at home.
With messages of empowerment, teamwork and compassion, what’s not to like? Always a very diverse team the show also stood behind messages of inclusion and celebrating differences. The 2017 feature film introduced the first superhero on the Autism spectrum.
Hasbro created National Power Rangers Day last year, in 2018, to honor and celebrate the Power Rangers franchise 25th Anniversary. Still a relatively new holiday – that shouldn’t deter you from celebrating! Let’s band together and help this holiday shift into turbo!
