With a little planning, Disney’s Hollywood Studios can be done in a day. Follow the plan below and you’re off for a star-studded experience!
- As I recommend with any one-day plan, arrive early! Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the park officially opens. When you’re among the first to arrive you’ll be able to accomplish so much before the crowds really pour in!
- Once you enter the park, by-pass all of the shops. There will be plenty of time for shopping mid-day, when you need some downtime, or on your way out of the park.
- Have an idea which E-Ticket (most popular) attraction appeals to your group and head there first. Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster remain incredibly popular. Toy Story Mania tends to have the longest wait times, throughout the day, so our family heads there first. Immediately after, we head towards Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and then to Tower of Terror.
- It’s now time to pause for lunch. Pizza Planet is our family favorite. Sci-Fi Diner and 50’s Prime Time Café are fun sit-down eateries.
- After lunch take in the show at Muppet Vision 3-D. Stroll through the archives at Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream. See the Studios Backlot Tour.
- By now, lunch has settled and you’re ready for Star Tours, a Star Wars themed flight simulator. The majority of the line is indoors or covered and moves pretty quickly. Have fun and hang on tight!
- By late afternoon you’ve now experienced all of the high-powered attractions. Time to relax! Stop and enjoy the afternoon parade. See Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage. Enjoy the Great Movie Ride.
- If you have the energy, stay for dinner, shopping and then Fantasmic – a 25 minute show complete with music, live-action and fireworks. Check show times at the tip board found at the end of Hollywood Boulevard.
It’s exhausting, but do-able! Except for a few attractions, most will keep you occupied for 15 minutes or more. It’s all about the entertainment. So relax, soak in the Hollywood magic and enjoy!
